Liverpool Street Gallery sits snugly in the centre of the prospering visual art scene of Sydney and has shown artists from the UK, United States and, of course, Australia. The gallery is an unpretentious space, and allows the artworks alone to mesmerize their audience. The vast windows invite passersby on Liverpool Street to catch a glimpse of the crowd developing inside, under the soft light. And, hence was my fate.

Jensen Gallery
For more than 20 years, the Jensen Gallery in Auckland has presented work by artists from Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand. Last year gallery director Andrew Jensen announced plans to open a second gallery space in Sydney's Paddington in 2011, a move prompted by the the gallery's growing Australian audience. The Sydney gallery opened last month with a solo project by Callum Innes and is set to become an important space for the exhibition of contemporary art from the region and beyond.
