Liverpool Street Gallery sits snugly in the centre of the prospering visual art scene of Sydney and has shown artists from the UK, United States and, of course, Australia. The gallery is an unpretentious space, and allows the artworks alone to mesmerize their audience. The vast windows invite passersby on Liverpool Street to catch a glimpse of the crowd developing inside, under the soft light. And, hence was my fate.

Art Month Sydney is a month-long festival celebrating the vibrancy and diversity of Sydney’s thriving contemporary visual arts scene. Art Month Sydney ran from March 1 to 31 in 2011. The not-for-profit festival is unique in uniting each of the various elements of Sydney’s art world under one umbrella.
The program for Art Month Sydney 2011 included an exciting new offering of art exhibitions and events for people of all ages and levels of art appreciation. More than 80 of Sydney's leading commercial galleries, artist-run initiatives and other venues in featured arts precincts from Waterloo to Woollahra, Marrickville to Potts Point hosted free artist talks, studio tours and after-dark fun with late night openings and art bars.
