Brooke Fitzsimons, New Works
This will be Brooke Fitzsimons first exhibition with the Tim Olsen Gallery, indeed it will be her first in her native Australia after many years spent studying and working in the UK, completing a Bachelor degree at Chelsea College of Art. Fitzsimons left a high profile career as an art director with Australian Consolidated Press to undertake rigorous training in painting techniques in London. This exhibition is influenced by hard edged, colour-field abstraction however through her application of an image that almost disappears under layers of transparent colour she presents a more delicate approach.

Melinda Harper, New Works
Melinda Harper was born in Darwin in 1965. She later moved to Melbourne and studied at the Prahran art school, finishing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, majoring in painting. She has exhibited extensively in Australia and overseas and was invited to participate in the first Beijing Biennale and her work has also been included in many major exhibitions of abstract art.
