Akira Isogawa

Creative Conversations - Thread for Thought - Synergies between Art and Fashion

Fashion designer Akira Isogawa and artist Lindy Lee collaborated for the 2010 Being Born Again Couture show at the National Art School, with Lee creating an elaborate headpiece for one of Isogawa’s diaphanous white gown. Hear the designer and the artist discuss working together and the relationship between art and fashion.

Other speakers include sculptor Adam Laerkesen. Laerkesen has been commissioned for several works by the designers Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke of sass & bide, including an installation in their Paddington boutique for Art Month Sydney 2010. The MC for this event is Stephen Feneley.

The Creative Conversations series is thanks to the support of Starcom, HP and Tyrell's Wines. We would also like to thank the National Art School for hosting the Creative Conversation series
