Creative Conversations - Igniting Passions - Dynamic Exchanges in Art

When Adam Cullen’s portrait of actor David Wenham won the Archibald Prize in 2000 and sparked inevitable controversy, actor artist and Adam’s second cousin, Max Cullen, was among the first to jump to his defence.

Hear the pair discuss what drives their art. Other speakers on the night include businessman Pat Corrigan. Corrigan is a long-time supporter and collector of contemporary art, a passion that was formally recognized in 2000 with a Member of the Order of Australia for service to the visual arts.

He will be joined by artists Giles Alexander, a 2010 Archibald Prize finalist and Guy Maestri, winner of the 2009 Archibald Prize for his portrait of the singer Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu. The MC for the night is Stephen Feneley.

The Creative Conversations series is thanks to the support of Starcom, HP and Tyrell's Wines. We would also like to thank the National Art School for hosting the Creative Conversation series
